Three ships were decommissioned by the Irish Naval Service yesterday.
The LÉ Eithne, LÉ Orla and LÉ Ciara have all completed their roles for the Defence Forces.
It's the first time that that number of ships have been decommissioned at once.
No information has been made public about when LÉ Eithne's replacement will be delivered.
Replacements for both the LÉ Orla and LÉ Ciara are expected to arrive next year.
