The English Comedian, who is due to perform two shows in the Opera House on May 28th and 29th, has come under fire for comments made about Gypsies in his Netflix special, His Dark Materials.
The Echo report that the Traveller Visibility Group has called for Carr to visit their offices in Shandon while he is on Leeside, and while the group is not calling on the Opera House to cancel the performances, they are hoping for a positive outcome through engagement and education.
