A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of an Irish Bishop in California.

Carlos Medina was detained at his home following an overnight standoff with police. Two firearms were also recovered.

Bishop David O'Connell, originally from Cork, was found dead at his home on Saturday, he'd suffered a gunshot wound to the torso.
