Another scorching day lies ahead today.
Met Eireann's status yellow heat warning says some regions will likely get as hot as 32 degrees.
The highest temperature in the country yesterday was recorded in the Phoenix Park in Dublin, which hit 29.3 degrees.
Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather has the outlook.
"A very hot day ahead today, the hottest day of this hot spell.
"Temperatures will get close to record breaking temperatures with potentially 33 degrees in the east of the country, but it will widely get up to 30 degrees in many parts of the country, and just that little bit cooler near the coasts."
