There could be some long icy stretches tonight, as temperatures plummet around the country.
A status yellow ice warning will come into effect from six o'clock this evening.
Met Eireann says there is a chance of sleet or snow in some parts of the country.
Forecaster Brendan Creagh says there will be a significant drop in temperatures as well.
"Lows of -4 to 0 degrees tonight, and lows down to -5 tomorrow night and similar on Wednesday and Thursday night, they'll both be cold nights.
"People can expect hazardous driving conditions with those low temperatures, after some rainfall today it could lead to long icy stretches."
