Temperatures are expected to plummet tonight despite recent mild spells.
It's thought some parts of the country will see lows of minus 2.
Drivers are being urged to take caution tomorrow morning.
Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather says Mr. Frost will be paying a visit:
"Cool night ahead with a frost for some parts getting down to as low as minus two degrees overnight call us in northern half the country for some parts of the Midlands clouds as the temperatures drop below zero and after the showers there could be some icy stretches."
