Tayto Park founder Ray Coyle had plans to expand the theme park before his death, according to a Local County Councillor.

The 70 year old businessman from Co. Meath passed away peacefully yesterday surrounded by family.

He founded Largo Foods, the company behind popular crisp brands Tayto, Hunk Dory, and King.

Councillor Alan Tobin says he hopes Roy's legacy can continue to grow in the wake of his death:

"Ray has very ambitious plans to expand the theme park. I hope that the rest of the family do continue it on. He was to build the hotel on it and things like that. So it would be very, very much welcomed if they continue on. It's really devastating for the family. The whole town, the whole community commiserates".
