The rental market is in a terrible state, according to the Taoiseach, as thousands of termination notices were served at the end of last year.
Figures released by the RTB yesterday show there were over 4,300 issued between last October and December, with the government saying it didn't know the exact number before deciding to end the eviction ban.
Cork had the second highest number of termination notices in the country with 475 notices to quit.
It's estimated 15,000 landlords could leave the market this year.
