The Taoiseach addressed a commemoration event for Sean Lemass this afternoon.
Micheál Martin described him as one of the great figures of our history.
In honour of Lemass' legacy, he said everyone must be prepared to change to achieve a united Ireland.
He said that too little has been done to build understanding and cooperation between the North and the Republic since the Good Friday Agreement was signed in 1998.
