Stephen Donnelly says he'd like to keep his role as health minister in the cabinet reshuffle.

Leo Varadkar is set to replace Micheál Martin as taoiseach later this month, and some ministers may be moved to different positions in government.

Speaking to Midlands 103, health minister Stephen Donnelly says there's more work to be done:

"I'd like to finish the job. You know, I had the great honor of being appointed. And it's been a busy two and a half years. And really, as I saw, I had two two jobs. One was to help steer the country through COVID. The second was to help bring about universal health care, which means expanding services like women's health care, cutting costs for patients and critically getting their waiting lists under control."
