Hundreds of girls from around the country will be in Dublin over the next two days for the Shine Festival.
The event, which aims to empower young women, begins today to mark International Day of the Girl.
There will be over 100 online and in-person speakers including athlete Ellen Keane, singer Erica Cody and Senator Eileen Flynn.
Shine is organised by the Shona Project in Waterford and founder Tammy Darcy outlines what she wants girls to get from it:
"They've had a tough few years between Covid and the war, so we want their first event back to be positive, inspirational and full of energy."
