Searches were carried out in the South and West of Ireland this week during a joint day of action against a criminal network involved in human trafficking, organised prostitution and money laundering.
Gardaí participated in the operation along with police officers from Romania and the United Kingdom in an operation that was also supported by EUROPOL.
Two searches were carried out at residential locations and a number of persons were identified and spoken to at both locations and material of evidential value was recovered.
This material will be provided to the Romanian authorities.
Gardaí have urged anyone who may be the victim of Human Trafficking to reach out for help and they've also appealed to anyone who knows of possible victims to contact their local Garda station.
