RTÉ say Ryan Tubridy is currently out of contract with the broadcaster.
In a statement, it said having left the Late Late Show, the presenter's contract negotiated in 2020 ended.
Negotiations had started on his radio responsibilities, however, RTÉ say the contract talks have been paused.
