Representatives from 25 countries will take part in the World Ploughing Championships, which take place at Ratheniska in Laois, from September 20th to the 22nd.
The event will coincide with the Irish national competitions, which are taking place in public for the first time in three years.
100,000 people will attend every day, and the event will generate €50 million for the economy.
Chief organiser, Anna-Marie McHugh says the international competitors have already started to arrive in Ireland.
