Questions have been raised over the 25% cut to childcare costs, announced in the Budget.
According to the Children's Minister, families could save €175 a year in costs.
However a 25% cut as outlined in the budget, is only based on the average cost nationally, and not on what individual families are paying.
Minister Roderic O'Gorman says despite this, these measures will deliver 'very significantly in terms of cost savings'.
