The Public Expenditure Minister says another electricity payment is an option being discussed by Government.
Michael McGrath also says some supports for people struggling with electricity costs will be targeted through state benefits.
The issue is top of the agenda at today's cabinet meeting, where an energy reduction plan for the public sector is being discussed.
Minister McGrath says they want to issue these supports 'quickly'.
