Primary school teachers across the country will be balloted on strike action in the coming weeks - unless the government engages on public-sector pay talks.
The Irish National Teachers’ Organisation took the decision today to initiate a September ballot of all its members for potential industrial action, unless the Government put, what it described as, a respectable pay offer on the table.
Balloting for industrial action will be preceded by a two-week consultation process with a full ballot of all members in early September - if the Government fails to met teachers demands.
