The President's leading the tributes to legendary guitarist Dennis Cahill, following his death.
The 68-year-old died yesterday surrounded by family and friends.
Cahill, who's parents were from Kerry, was born in Chicago and was highly regarded in the world of traditional Irish music.
President Michael D Higgins says he brought a unique and innovative style to his guitar playing and has offered his sympathies to his family and friends.
