Police in Northern Ireland came under attack for a fourth night in a row.

Violence has erupted in a number of towns since Monday.

Disorder continued in the North last night but not to the same intensity as earlier in the week.

The largest protest was held in Portadown, where rocks and missiles were thrown at the PSNI.

A number of small fires were lit and roads were blocked off.

A large police presence including helicopter support combined with heavy rain affected the expected turnout.

A housing Association had warned its residents to leave their homes ahead of the protest, due to safety concerns.
