A person's lost their life in a crash in County Laois after their car went on fire.
It's not yet known if it's a man or a woman.
"The single car crash happened on the Athy Road in Stradbally at around a quarter to 3 yesterday afternoon.
The person who was driving the car was killed when it hit a wall and then went on fire.
Their body has been taken to Midland Regional Hospital in Portlaoise where a post mortem will be carried out.
The Athy Road which was closed yesterday evening for a technical examination has since reopened.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward - anyone with information is asked to contact Portlaoise Garda Station.
