Passengers were left distressed on an Aer Lingus flight this week from Lanzarote.
The plane, originally supposed to land in Dublin, had to divert to Shannon as it ran out of fuel.
Flyers were briefed on an evacuation plan and told The Irish Sun the scenes were 'very scary'.
Aer Lingus apologised for the diversion, and said the flight arrived less than two hours behind schedule.
