Parishes in Dublin will see card payments devices installed, in a bid to increase income at church collections.

The tap-and-donate devices will be installed in churches in 200 parishes around Dublin.

The Dublin Archdiocese says the move is in response to the pandemic, as less people are carrying cash.

The Business Post reports the Archdiocese has struck a deal with the Californian tech firm, Clover and AIB's merchant services to install donation terminals in each church.
