Changes being implemented at Novartis in Dublin could impact 400 jobs.
The pharmaceutical company has announced it plans to implement 'a new focused strategy' at its Novartis Global Service Center Dublin operations by the end of 2024.
It says the new structure will be leaner and simpler, and these changes could potentially impact approximately 400 positions, over a phased period.
Novartis Ireland currently employs about 1,500 people across three locations in Cork and Dublin and in March the pharmaceutical manufacturer announced that it had reached an agreement with UK firm Sterling Pharma Solutions to divest its facility in Ringaskiddy
As part of the agreement Sterling will produce medicines in Ireland for Novartis- both companies said the agreement will secure the continued manufacturing of medicines and significant expertise in Ringaskiddy.
