It's emerged that there wasn't any evidence of forced entry into the home of a woman, whose body was discovered in Killarney yesterday.

The remains of 75-year-old Miriam Burns were found at around lunchtime yesterday, after family and friends failed to make contact with her.

Gardaí launched an investigation into her death, which they're treating as 'unexplained', and door-to-door inquiries are being carried out in the area.

Kerry-based journalist Anne Lucey says the results of a post-mortem will determine the course of the Garda investigation.
