The newly-restored Eire 6 wartime neutrality sign will be unveiled in Howth in Dublin today.

President Michael D Higgins will attend the event, which will be followed by a flyover by the Irish Air Corps.

The EIRE 6 sign was one of 83 signs built around the Irish coast during the Second World War, to alert aircraft they were approaching neutral Irish territory.
