The new National Children's Hospital is now expected to open 11 years late - in March 2025.
The hospital - on the campus of Dublin's St. James' hospital - was originally scheduled to open its doors in 2014.
The Mail on Sunday reports top doctors at the facility have been informed of the most recent delay.
A senior official involved with the project believes patients won't be welcomed until late 2025.
