New Irish teachers are on the way for Irish medium schools and Gaeltacht regions.
Education Minister Norma Foley says contracts have been signed for two teacher programmes.
The Department of Education is investing more than seven million euro for the courses.
60 new student teachers will attend the Marino Institute of Education and Trinity College in Dublin.
