A new insurance code has been implemented for cancer survivors to have better access to mortgage protection.
It follows talks with the Irish Cancer Society after a report highlighted the issue.
Cancer survivors were unable to get the proper life assurance required to get a mortgage.
The new code also gives survivors the right to be forgotten.
