The man whose decomposed body was found in a flat in Dublin, has been named as 28-year-old Tony Dempsey.
Gardai upgraded the case to a murder inquiry yesterday, after a post-mortem examination.
One line of inquiry is that he was targeted in a row over drugs.
His body was found in a flat in Coleraine Street in the north inner city on Monday evening - but he may have died over a week earlier.
