More than a hundred thousand homes, farms and businesses will be able to connect to high speed fibre broadband in the coming months.
National Broadband Ireland is guaranteeing access to minimum speeds of 500Mb through its network.
The Government's National Broadband Plan promises to deliver to every locality in the next three years.
CEO of National Broadband Ireland Peter Hendrick says the rollout of the service is progressing:
"Today we're under construction in all 26 counties, and just before Christmas we've achieved that milestone of starting to connect homes in every single county. In terms of finishing the overall programme, it's a seven year programme and we're working towards completing that programme by the end of 2026".
