Met Éireann has issued a Weather Advisory for hot temperatures.
The advisory is valid from today until next Sunday with heat stress expected at night-time.
It'll be a considerable jump up in temperatures from the high teens as seen over the past week.
Meteorologist Aoife Kealy says we'll likely see thermometers reach the high twenties.
"Essentially what's happening is the temperatures as we move through the coming week are going to increase day on day so by the end of next week we're looking at temperatures getting up into the high 20s in places and uncomfortably warm nights as well temperatures now pretty fallen below the mid teens."
