Members of the Dublin Citizens Assembly will vote today on which recommendations to put forward to the Dáil and Seanad.
It has spent about six months examining how a directly elected mayor would work and hearing expert opinion on how to structure local government around it.
There are 68 members of the public on the panel, including Chairperson Jim Gavin, along with 12 local Councillors from the 4 local authorities.
