A man has been arrested over a serious assault on a woman in Kildare last weekend.
The woman in her 20s was attacked in Monasterevin last Sunday afternoon.
A man in his 20s is being questioned at Kildare Garda Station where he can be held for up to 24 hours.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone with video footage, who was in the Monasterevin area on Sunday afternoon between 1 o'clock and 5.20pm, to contact them.
Detectives say in particular, they would like to speak with two women who assisted the injured woman.
