Gardaí have arrested a man in connection to a number of assaults on a woman in Limerick at the weekend.
The woman was seriously assaulted a number of times between Parnell Street and Parnell Place on Sunday night and Monday morning.
A man in his 40s has appeared before Limerick District Court today, in connection a number of assaults on a woman near Colbert Station.
She was assaulted on numerous occasions between 11.15pm on Sunday night and 1.45 am on Monday morning.
She was removed from the scene and taken to University Hospital Limerick to be treated for her injuries.
A man in his forties was arrested this morning and appeared before Limerick District Court.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was near Colbert Station/Parnell Street/Parnell Place/Hyde Road or Davis Street between 11pm and 2am to come forward, particularly those with dashcam footage
