A man has appeared in court today, charged with the murder of his brother in County Kerry this week.
35 year old Patrick Dooley, of 33 Arbutus Grove in Killarney, was charged this morning and appeared at Kenmare District Court today.
Thomas Dooley and his wife Siobhan were seriously injured during an 'altercation' at Rath Cemetery in Tralee on Wednesday.
The emergency services were called to the scene, where a funeral was taking place at the time - Mr. Dooley was pronounced dead there shortly afterward.
Patrick Dooley, his brother, is accused of Thomas' murder.
Detective Sergeant Mark O’Sullivan gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution.
He told the court when Patrick was charged, just after 5 this morning, Patrick said "I didn't harm my brother at all in any way, that's all I have to say."
His solicitor requested medical treatment for Patrick Dooley for 'physical injuries' - that was granted by the judge, David Waters.
An application for legal aid was also made - but no application for bail because it cannot be granted in a district court in a murder case.
