A man and his partner have appeared in court in connection with the murder of four-year-old Mason O'Connell Conway in Limerick in March 2021.
Tegan McGhee, who is in her late 20s and of no fixed abode, was charged with murder.
Mason's father, 33-year-old John Paul O'Connell, is accused of assisting an offender, child endangerment and two counts of child neglect.
Mr O'Connell, with an address at Liscreagh, Murroe, Co Limerick, was granted bail with strict conditions, including the order to obey a curfew.
The DPP has directed both accused stand trial before the Central Criminal Court.
