A man in his 70s has been killed in a road traffic collision in Co. Kerry.

Gardai say the incident occurred on the N21 in Knockbrack, between Castleisland and Abbyfeale, yesterday evening at approximately 5.30 m.

Three vehicles were involved in the collision.

The man was taken to Tralee General Hospital where he later passed away.

The driver and passenger of the second vehicle were also taken to hospital where they received treatment for non life threatening injuries.

Gardai are appealing for anyone with information to contact them, and for those with dash cam footage who may have been travelling in the area at the time to make it available to them, while the road remains closed this morning as forensic collision investigators carry out their examination of the scene.
