A major shift is needed to make children’s rights mainstream and to build on the progress that has been made in Ireland over the last thirty years.
That's one of the main conclusions from two Reports the Children's Ombudsman's office has submitted to the United Nations.
It says many of the 5,000 children surveyed here are frustrated with mental health services, they want reform of exams and an end to bullying in schools.
The Ombudsman for Children Dr. Niall Muldoon says the treatment of mental health issues in schools has become a growing problem in recent years.
