Local councils spent just under 180 million euro in active travel allocations last year.
However, it's below 60 percent of their total allocation of over 309 million.
Some local authorities used up their entire allocations, but areas like Kerry, Clare, Laois and Offaly didn't even reach 20 percent of their budgets.
