Just over 186,000 people were on the live register in August, an increase of 1,900 on July.
However, the seasonally adjusted figure is still down 2,400 when compared to pre-pandemic figures in August 2019.
There were 11,851 people benefiting from the EU's Temporary Protection Directive included in the live register last month.
That's an increase of almost 2,000 on July.
