A new pay deal has been struck to set legally binding rates of pay for early years professionals represented by SIPTU.
The trade union says the new rates will come into effect on September 15th for its 6,000 members.
It says thousands of workers will see a pay increase that will end poverty wages and described the development as a historic day for the profession.
