The Justice Minister is pushing ahead with plans to name and shame tax defaulters who make settlements with the Criminal Assets Bureau.
It comes as CAB confirms criminals were deprived of almost 11 million euro last year on the back of its investigations.
That includes over 5 million euro that was returned to six victims of crypto-currency theft.
Barry Ward, a Fine Gael senator and barrister, says there are also plans to reduce the seven-year wait before CAB can dispose of seized assets;
