The jury in Michael Lynn's theft trial has begun its deliberations.
The former solicitor, with an address at Millbrook Court, Red Cross, Co Wicklow, is accused of stealing 27 million euro from seven financial institutions.
It is the prosecution's case that he did so by securing multiple mortgages for the same properties from various banks and building societies.
In his defence, Mr Lynn claimed one of the bankers was in on a profit-share agreement with him, while the others knew what he was doing.
