The Irish Pharmacy Union says it's rapidly losing faith in the Health Minister.
It's accusing Stephen Donnelly of leaving Ireland's 1,900 pharmacies in the dark over future funding.
The Minister is legally obliged to review the funding model by the end of this month.
Interim Secretary General of the IPU, Derek Reilly says costs have increased dramatically but the fees they receive are lower now than in 2009:
"Our members are completely losing faith. We have worked with the Department of Health over the last number of years. We cooperated with every initiative. And they were statutorily obliged to engage with us by the 1st June and nothing has happened at all. And we feel that when we work with the department, good behaviour is not rewarded. And we now have decided that we have to up the ante in terms of saying to the Minister, we cannot deliver services unless there's investment in community pharmacy".
