Irish companies have continued to make progress in achieving gender-balance on state boards.
Women now represent 46.1 percent - which compares favourably with state boards across the EU.
Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, Michael McGrath, has welcomed the findings, saying increased diversity produces better outcomes for everyone in society.
