Thousands of Irish business are facing declining incomes and sales in the UK, as sterling loses value.
There has been a sharp fall in the pound since last week's mini-budget from the British government.
It has impacted significantly on exporters, with the worst hit being the food and construction supplies sectors.
Chief executive of the Irish Exporters Association, Simon McKeever, says the future for Irish exporters to the UK is uncertain.
"If they are selling the same type of product as an Irish company is into some part of the world, their product is now much more competitive than ours is.
"The other thing we need to think about down the road is if the UK economy does tank like the market does think it's going to tank over the next two to three years, there is a smaller pool of buyers for Irish exporters."
