A new study of electricity prices claims Ireland's are now the most expensive in Europe.
The Hungarian examination found prices here are double the EU average at 49.9 cent per kilowatt hour, even when Government energy credits were taken into account.
According to the Irish Independent the cheapest price per kilowatt hour in Europe is 9.2 cent in Hungary, almost five times the rate here.
