An investigation is underway after a man's body was discovered in Co Galway.
The man was found in "unexplained circumstances" yesterday morning.
Shortly after ten o'clock on Friday morning, a man's body was found behind a retail premises in Ballybane.
The man, aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body remains at the scene and a technical exam is being carried out by the Garda Technical Bureau.
A post-mortem examination is also expected to be carried out later today, and the results will determine the course of the investigation.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
