An inquest into the Stardust fire which claimed the lives of 48 people on February 14th, 1981 is underway.
Three-thousand people were summoned to Croke Park in Dublin for the jury selection process earlier today.
It's expected the inquest - which is the largest in the State's history - will last around six months.
Carol Barrett's brother was killed in the tragedy, and she says it feels bitter-sweet:
"Michael was the last identified victim. The week of the fire and others went on to be unidentified. So for all that's behind us for today, we can't ever forget that today is a momentous day. It's bittersweet because of our past and getting here. We shouldn't have to be here today. 42 years is horrendous this should be an apology before Justice."
