The Russian President has not won the 'energy war', according to the Environment Minister.
An informal meeting of EU Transport and Energy Ministers is taking place in Stockholm today.
Security of supply is one of the issues being considered, one year since the start of the war in Ukraine.
Minister Eamon Ryan says the European Union's reduced its dependency on Russia for gas supplies:
"We've been successful. I think if you look at one year on from the war and starting in Ukraine, Europe has showed strengthen resilience not only in supporting Ukraine, but also in reducing our dependency in Russian gas. And I think that's the biggest story of actually, European strength and cooperation. Mr. Putin has not won the energy war we have to make sure he never does."
